Small Animal
Our team recognizes the importance of the human-animal bond and wants to make sure your pet is happy, healthy and can live as long as possible, in the most comfortable way possible. We know that their internal health is equally as important as their mental health and can offer training tools, behavioural consultations in addition to our medical and surgical services.
All pets should be seen at minimum, once a year for a health exam and life-stage assessment. A full physical examination is performed from head to tail. Our team will discuss your family’s lifestyle and assess potential risks in order to develop a deworming or vaccine protocol, tailored to your individual pet’s needs. Furthermore, their nutritional needs will change with age, activity and physical health. Lastly, if you have any behavioural concerns, albeit minor, please share them with our veterinary team. Often, we have great tricks and tools to help make your pet feel more comfortable and confident.
We are able to provide many diagnostics in-house, making diagnosis and treatment plans quicker and easier. Our team has access to blood chemistries, complete blood counts, fecal analysis, digital dental and full body radiology, and abdominal ultrasound,
Our practice strives to provide low-stress and fear-free handling techniques whenever possible. We encourage all owners to speak up and inform our team ahead of time if they know their pet has certain anxieties or concerns ahead of time. A pet that is anxious in the kennel and car will become more anxious in the appointment. The veterinary appointment begins at home and we want to ensure your pet is comfortable from the beginning to end.
If this is your first visit to our facility, please bring any medical history you have when you come as this will help our staff to better assess your pet and their needs. If not our staff would be happy to contact your previous veterinary clinic for the records.
