SMALL ANIMAL

In order to keep your pet in their best shape, we recommend at least a yearly physical exam. During the physical exam, our veterinarians will meticulously check your pet over from head to tail and ensure that they are in their best health. Any recommendations made by our experienced veterinarians are specifically designed for your pet’s needs. Whether that includes vaccines, blood work or additional tests, you can rest assured that the well-being of your pet is our top priority.

Be sure to come prepared with any medical history you have for your pet as well as any notes of behaviour changes or physical changes you may have noticed.

We strongly recommend that all pets be on leash or in a carrier when visiting our hospital.

LARGE ANIMAL

The Pembina Valley Veterinary Clinic is a full-service large animal clinic. Offering both ambulatory and in-clinic appointments, we cater to a wide range of livestock and horses.

In clinic, we have equine stocks and pens making examinations, castrations and dental procedures comfortable and safe for the animal.  An ophthalmoscope is available for ocular exams.  Our trained veterinary team are experienced in anesthetic induction and monitoring both in-house and in the field.

Our bovine facility is equipped with a hydraulic chute and tip table making bull testing, lameness evaluations and any obstetrical procedure a breeze.

Our ambulatory team is set for any emergency and is well versed in exports and herd health visits.

Our veterinarians have access to the latest technologies; Ultrasound (Bovine and Small ruminant/Swine), digital radiography, in-house chemistry and complete blood analysis, in-house milk culturing and fecal analysis.  We have established excellent relationships with many of the labs across Canada and North America for all the other tests that we cannot perform in-house.

We would like to remind all producers bringing cattle into the clinic that they must be tagged with a CCIA tag otherwise they will be tagged in-clinic at your expense.
